My name is Michael J. Tyger and I’m a writer. There, I said it. I’m addicted to writing. This blog is part of my twelve step program. Step one is to admit that I am a writer.
That’s difficult for me to say (really). I’m a writer.
My life has become unmanageable outside of writing. Only the power of my ‘muse’ can restore my sanity. I made a decision to turn my life over to this inspiration as I understand it. I am making a fearless and moral inventory of my current life choices and career decisions. I admitted to myself and my family that I am a writer who used to make bad decisions about that. I am entirely ready to formulate better stories and characters. I asked for better wisdom about my editing out things that are not necessary. I made a list of all the people who have suffered from me withholding my best and intend to write even better now. I will even directly hold book signings for the ones who desire that. I will continue to strive to promptly improve my craft and take personal inventory of my work. I have sought and meditated on what will improve my writing; asking for direction and inspiration. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, I will try to carry this message to other writers and to practice these principles in all my writing.
This is my Twelve Step statement and even though it is a bit tongue-in-cheek, I actually take it seriously. I have not committed fully to my desire in the past to be a ‘writer’. But this is my real and dedicated effort to do just that.
You can find my first book on Amazon and Kindle called, “ShadowRay: Scratching the Surface” Here at Amazon ShadowRay And soon the sequel called, “Prying Eyes”.
I have also written poetry. I know that poetry is usually at the bottom of reader’s lists but in case you are curious you can find Michael Tyger on Wattpad and explore some of it. I’ve also started a couple of short stories there as well.
I have an author page on Amazon. Here is a direct link to that: Michael J. Tyger
And if you are on Facebook I would really appreciate a like for my ShadowRay page here.
